JOB SEEKERS LET'S GET IT STRAIGHT PART ONE

It is so frustrating and it will continue to be If we keep on doing a thing the same way and expecting a different result; My brother & Sister you will continue to be in a long thing.

Unemployment; this I see to be in the next 10 years from now to be more worsen in our country (not Nation) because nothing seems to be sustainable. Most especially if Jobseekers don't get it right now. Even in the job, the Nigerian government promised to provide, Let's look at the most common Npower which started as a campaign from the current presiding authority, has been showing some bottlenecks in the promise of job security and payment of the volunteers. Ask a friend that has already partaken in it or go and check peoples comments on their social media posts you will see most of the people's clamour over issues happening to it.

If you are fond of going to job sites to apply for jobs with the same CV or Resume, please stop it, it won't go well. And I must say you won't get a job or even an interview offer if you don't know what you want and even strategic enough to get what you want. You will not get any job opportunity again if you keep on doing the old fashion way of applying for jobs that are not giving you the result you wanted. And even the experienced worker that is looking to change a job will also suffer loss in career development and achievement if they are not improving or doing it right.

As people are frustrated, I was frustrated too, at some time there is no job, no money, the connection is said to be needed if I'm to get good white-collar jobs, YES even I've been in a test room for a job only meant for First Class and Second Class Upper Graduate, only to find 3rd Class doing the test with us (This is a popular company, but I won't mention the name). You will see people not up to your level of understanding controlling you, but anyway it's important we know that life isn't fair, you just have to give yourself a brain.

If you are a job seeker and you keep on running after fake Gurus, jumping from one opportunity to another without getting anything to show for it. My brothers and sisters, stop it and start using and practising the one you have learnt. There will be nothing bountiful or awesome that will come for us if we keep on hoping and expecting miracles or even going to mosque or church to pray for a job without you looking out for opportunities or living your expectation for the jobs you keep on applying for. I must tell you it's going to be disappointing. Even the religious leaders have failed us not to talk of the government but that's a story for another day.

And again I see so many people working their entire life in Lagos (I choose Lagos because that's the commercial city that most of the job opportunities in Nigeria is) but still on, their hard-earned money ends up staying in Lagos, not to talk of the smoke and other negative externalities that endangers their health and may later lead to their death and what's your reward from the company you work for - A one minute silence and trust my work will continue. Yoruba's use to say an adage which is Eni baku ni tie gbe in English it means Anyone that dies that's the end for him/her.

We need to start getting it right. I'm not a preacher of leaving your job for entrepreneurship, because it's not meant for everybody but I'm a preacher of youth getting it right and living a life of peace and prosperity not of mediocrity.
