The following point has always been a watch guide for me after my awful experience during the COVID-19 pandemic.

It could be helpful to you too. (Please be aware that I'm still working on a few of them. The first step is to acknowledge that you are guilty of any of the listed behaviours, and then to continuously improve your handling of it.)

Plan your finances;

Please don't spend the last kobo in your account or at hand. Know the difference between things you need and things you buy for your enjoyment or to impress people who don't even know you exist. Save for the reigning day, because you might have to fight the battle alone when nothing is left.

Build network and quality relationships;

Get out there and interact with people who can truly add value to your life. Don't do this out of friendship; instead, be open to learning and seizing opportunities that you might not have otherwise discovered if you hadn't moved out in the first place. Remember that getting in touch with people of value is not something that could happen in each of your outings, sometimes you could meet time wasters that's if you allowed it. To discover people of value, you must first be a person of value and remember to let your instinct guide you.

Get along with people in any networking environment;

whether it be at work or in your business Believe me, I understand how annoying some people can be, especially when you interact or work with the Gen Z generation. But you must develop people skills and have enough awareness to know when to speak appropriately, particularly when you're upset. Develop critical thinking skills and have a mind for research: Please believe me when I say is not everything you see or hear that you should believe in. Understanding the importance of doing research and critical reasoning will save you a lot of trouble and mental stress. Not all the time the influencer of yours can be correct, which brings me to my next point. Learn to ask the right questions: There is an adage that says "The person that asks for clarity to a pathway, won't miss the road". When making decisions or acting in a certain way, think things through thoroughly before acting or making a judgment. You should also be able to clearly see any written employment contracts as well as any business or partnership agreements you wish to enter into. It will surely save you a lot of stress or damage you might face in the future.

Value those that are always there for you;

Know and value those that are always there for you whenever things go sour. Appreciate them, and don't lose them for anything as they are rare to find.

Don't go beyond what you can achieve;

It is good to dream big but it is better to start with what you have. As bold and inspiring as it may sound, you may decide you want to go big and dive into those shallow waters, but be prepared to deal with the consequences. Looking at a friend or someone you admire doing great stuff and you want to copy might lead you into a life of regret.

Lastly,

Live your life at your own speed and value collaboration as it can help you achieve great things. Remember that you are not in competition with anyone, but rather value the gift of collaboration.
